  • UPDATE 05-18-06: As of 10:45AM EST, the bidding is up to 870.75 pounds, or $1650.14!
  • According to Mugglenet, 'Now is your chance to purchase several items autographed by Alan Rickman (Severus Snape). DebRA, an organization that provides nursing and social care for those with Epidermolysis Bullosa (a condition which causes the skin to blister at the slightest touch), is holding an auction with the proceeds going to benefit those with EB. Items up for auction include Rickman's "Love Actually" hat and a photograph of himself, both signed by him. You can place your bid over at eBay right now.' As of the posting, the bid was at 600 pounds, which is roughly $1,137.05! Bit out of my league, I'm afraid...

  • Alan Rickman was at the Tribeca Film Awards on Friday to support his new film, Snowcake!

  • Alan Rickman, that fabulous portrayer of our Snape-meister, is getting his likeness put up in National Portrait Gallery! They'd better keep it under lock and key, or else the rickmaniacs will be after it! He is one of several in the exhibit: People Are Other People, Portraits of Actors from Britain and Ireland. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) and Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew) will also be presented. :)

  • Heard about the new 'Lost Gospel of Judas'? Well, enquiring Harry Potter minds want to know: will there be a 'Lost Gospel of Snape'?

No clue who Judas is? Read the article! - Basically, they've 'discovered' a lost portion of the Bible, telling everyone how Judas was not really an evil git who turned Jesus in to the Romans. We, however, know that Snape is not any kind of evil git, regardless of what the boy-who-won't-die says! Therefore, our 'Lost Gospel of Snape' may just be book 7! Interesting to note how this comes out after the actions of Snape in HBP...

I'd like to take this moment to wish Alan Rickman a happy 60th birthday! Go Alan! Even though he's a smidgen older than Snape, he still captures the essence of the character. Well done! And here's to hoping we'll see him in the "flight of the prince" scene in HBP!

  • Hello, Magazine has holding a poll for the most attractive man featured on their site for last week. As of this posting, Alan Rickman is number one! Go there and cast your vote to keep him there! At the end of the month, he'll be up against the other weekly winners. Let's help him win most attractive for the month again!

  • I would like to say I'm sorry for the lack of Sev-a-licious news, and my not-so-very promptness of posting it. That said, here's a blurb from CBBC Newsround about the upcoming DVD of GOF and one of the deleted scenes. All I have to say is, HURRAY!

I know it's almost over now (didn't have free time at work today!) But I just wanted to point out that according to JKR's timeline, today marks the 47th(or thereabouts) birthday of our dear, dear, Severus. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SEVYKINS!

  • VH1 had an interview with Dan Radcliff, who had a few things to say about our Snapey-poo.

Daniel Radcliffe Talks: The Trouble With Harry - The bit about Snape's at the bottom. Apparently, Alan Rickman knows all about Snape! Maybe we should write to him...

  • Whilst unhappy with the sevy-less news at Mugglenet and such sites, I decided to forage for my own. What I found was priceless.

MSNBC: Severus Snape: One teacher's hero - an article from an english teacher praising Snape's methods. Very funny.

  • Thanks to IESB.net, the following are the three video clips out of the thirteen they have posted in which you can glimpse our dear Severus. Oh, and they're in Windows Media format. Oh, and be kind to everyone who wishes to view them by right-clicking and 'save target as'.

The annoucement of the Champions - Sevy's not in this bit until the end, but it's a good shot at any rate. :) No lines, though.

In the antechamber after the announcement - Sev is glimpsed in the background, again with no lines.

The trio discusses their date plans for the ball - Remember the head smackin' pics? :) Again, no lines. You think they'll let him speak at some point in the film?
